Trojan Horse-athon

Through the month of June, an international funding effort, the Trojan Horse-athon, will be unleashed across the globe. June 17-19th, live feeds to and from events in such cities as San Francisco, Vancouver, and Seattle will combine their live video from fundraising house parties and performances around the world.

Check out our invitation below to see how you can make the Trojan Horse your own and join an incredible team from around the world who, together, will bring the beast to life.

June 17-19    Live Feed from Around the World
As part of our month of international fundraising activities, the Trojan Horse-Athon will pull together satellite fundraisers for a weekend of live video feed and performances from around the world. Each event will have a fundraising target, and will be supported by the core team of project organizers.

What You Can Do!

Join the global movement to bring the Trojan Horse to life at Burning Man 2011!

Our rite of passage is taking a traditional large-scale art project and turning it into a wholly community driven effort. Since issuing our first Casting Call in March 2011, we’ve had over 400 people respond and offer to participate in supporting the project. Here’s an opportunity and a fantastic excuse (if you needed one!) to have fun with friends while raising money for this larger-than life work of interactive art.

You’re participation is crucial to the success of this project. Having offered your time and energy to help co-create, build, pull, promote and celebrate the installation, we need you now to unleash your creative fundraising potential.

Think of the Trojan Horse as your own Burning Man art piece. If you’ve volunteered with us, in a very real sense this is your project, too. So help generate the capital needed to bring your beast to the playa. [All donations made within the US are tax-deductible.] Check out our fundraising kit to find out more about how you can help.

When you’re ready to dive in, fill out our Trojan Horse-athon form so we can follow up and get this party started.
